ILA GAUSS and RTCM Meetings

At each Convention and Technical Symposium, several meetings are held in conjunction with the main technical program.  These include the ILA GAUSS and board of directors meetings.  This year, the RTCM also held a meeting on Monday, October 15.

 

GAUSS (Global AUgmentation of Satellite Systems) is an ILA special committee which regularly meets during conventions. GAUSS seeks to standardize equipment and services related to Loran. Many of the members of the ILA Board of Directors also serve on GAUSS so the meetings are somewhat indistinguishable.  

In addition, the RTCM (Radio Technical Commission for Maritime Services) held a meeting to form a special committee to look into the certification of Loran for maritime applications such as harbor entrance and approach.
